Hey guys
Soooo yeaaaa….I didn’t make my deadline of posting my Sunday ootd look. The intentions were there however life happened and plans were shifted. So remember in the last post I mentioned the “surprise” shindig I did for hubs? A part from it being amazing my sis broke her ankle on the obstacle course I rented while racing yours truly. It was pretty bad, where surgery, plates, and screws needed to get it back in place. Two hours of surgery for the poor thing to be currently non weight bearing to her right foot. Driving is not an option for her so I had sister duties and helped her out yesterday. So apologies for the wait….I know you’ve all been dying to read on the latest (*most sarcastic voice ever).
Happy Father’s day btw to all the great dads out there. I hope everyone enjoyed their day with their loved ones. One dad I do want to shout out in particular is my stud muffin of a husband Jonathan. Even though biologically they may not be “his” children, he treats them like they were. You would never know the difference. Our family is complete with him. He is not a step dad, but a BONUS dad. Happy Father’s day to you Jon. Thank you for all that you do for them and more ❤ .
Sunday OOTD
Sunday is church day for the Rivera-Ayala household. I wanted to be comfortable (as usual) so I pulled out an oldie, but goodie with this Targé green plaid high low midi dress. The dress is straight down, no shape, no nothing. LIGHT BULB! I had the genius idea to cinch my waist with my newest purchase…My bum bag from Amazon. I cinched away to give this frock some shape.
Best bum bag ever. I am low-key trying to develop a small collection before summer ends. I am obsessed with these right now. I only have two so far. The other one is from boohoo.com which will be debuted very soon ; ) . I remember these as a kid and now they are back stylish as ever.
I paired this cute racer back lace bra (Rue21) which peekaboos out from behind the dress, kept the jewelry simple (earrings Forever21, bracelet gift from hubby), black cat eye shades (H&M), and black ankle boots (TJMaxx) with gold hardware to match my gold jewelry.
Here’s my Sunday OOTD. I call this…. Grunge summer chic lol. Hope you guys enjoyed this look.
XOXO Mel
